Truth or Fiction

If I was happy last week, then this week I’m ecstatic! My edits have been turned in (of course, I’ll have at least one more set to do) and I got a new hair cut!

Now onto last week’s Mystery Question: Below are four alibis. Three are actual alibis that criminals have used. I made up one. Can you pick it out?
  1. A man going twice the speed limit crossed over to hit a pedestrian who was motioning him to slow down, then he turned around and tried it again. The driver’s alibi? The alignment in his car was bad.
  2. A man going double the speed limit in a school zone on a suspended license claimed he was a Texas Republican Sovereignty and couldn’t be arrested.
  3. A teenager was caught coming out of his vacationing neighbor’s bedroom window. His excuse? He’d lost his dog and thought it might have gotten into the house somehow.
  4. After being denied vacation weekend, a  sergeant claimed he shot his master sergeant six times, killing him because he was on a diet.

And the answer is…#3. Congrats to everyone who guessed correctly! Now onto this week’s Mystery Question:

Below are four statements. Three are true. Which one did I make up? You can google the answers, but try to guess first. 😉
  1. Donkeys kill more people annually than planes.
  2. If Barbie were life-size, she’d stand 7 feet, 9 inches tall and her measurements would be 42-22-34.
  3. Apples, not caffeine, are more efficient at waking you up in the morning.
  4. Walt Disney was afraid of mice.

Okay, Super Sleuths which statement did I make up? Leave your answer in the comments and I’ll enter you in a contest for a book from my library.

Oh, my goodness, Monique! That’s the only one I didn’t fact check. lol. Since I’ve know a couple of people who were killed by donkeys or mules, I assumed it was true. Thanks for pointing it out.

I believe all of them but #2. I can accept if Barbie was 7 feet, nine inches tall, her measurements would be 42-22-34. However, how did anyone come up with her height?

I have to agree with the majority and say #2 is the made-up statement. While I agree that Barbie would be vastly out of porportion, I doubt she would be over 7′ tall,

Congrats on turning in your edits! I see you celebrated by getting a new hair cut, I think it looks great on you! 🙂
