Happy Thanksgiving 2021!

The latest sixteen months have been difficult ones for my family and me, and I’m taking this week to reset and focus on what I’m grateful for.

I’ll share a few thoughts I had yesterday as I drove back from a research trip to Chattanooga:

  • My Lord and Savior!
  • My family
  • Sister time this past week–it’d been a while.
  • My friends here in Corinth and all over the world.
  • You, my readers! You are awesome.
  • My old Macbook that served me well.
  • My new Macbook that is serving me well.
  • The release of Crosshairs!
  • Good health.
  • Being able to travel to Chattanooga for research!
  • Ruby Falls

There are many more, but I’ll stop for now. But always remember that while holidays can be difficult for many who have lost loved ones, it really does help to keep our focus on Jesus who gives us peace beyond understanding.

Leave a comment on what you’re especially thankful for this Thanksgiving, and I’ll enter you in a drawing for one of the calendars I had made with memes from this blog. The winner will be announced next Tuesday.

Happy Thanksgiving 2021! May it be a blessed one!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and everyone on this blog, Pat! I am thankful for God’s blessings that I try not to take for granted and the fact that my parents, especially my mother, made sure we were in church, for my husband, children and grands, friends, health, home, books and authors like you, my plants and crafts. Prayers for you and your family during this holiday season.

I’m thankful that Jesus NEVER leaves or forsakes us.
I’m thankful for a pastor who truly preaches the Scriptures to us.
I’m thankful for what God is doing in my marriage. It has been a rough year, but GOD…He is so worthy of praise.

I am thankful for life. The wrong decision on March 25 could have been the end of this life for me. Even knowing that I would have been at home with Jesus in that case, I am grateful that He gave me the good sense to know it was time to get help, thereby extending my life. I am so very thankful for the many blessings God has showered on us over the years. The past year has brought some unexpected trials, but God has mercifully brought us through them. I am thankful for new pastoral leadership at our home church and looking forward to the church growing and reaching the community. I’m thankful for so many good Christian fiction books being written now, unlike it was in my younger years.

Edward, I’m thankful for your right decision back in March, too! And I’m glad for all the great Christian books out there now. I’ll be praying for your pastor search committee as I pray for ours. We’re looking for the man God has in mind for us too, after having a wonderful pastor for 35 years.
      Happy Thanksgiving!

Pat, I don’t think I communicated what I intended about pastoral leadership. We got a new pastor and assistant pastor on May 1, a husband and wife team. I am truly grateful for them. The previous two years had been a rough, bumpy ride as we floundered due to a lack of leadership by the last pastor. The new pastor and his wife are both excellent communicators, musically talented, and provide leadership. Too God be the glory!

Pat, I can’t think of a better time to reflect and reset. God bless you and all who I’ve met on your blog.

I’m thankful to God for all the blessings He’s lavished on me, and for which I am completely unworthy. I’m thankful for my relatives and friends who have kept me centered, and supported me with their contact and prayers throughout the year. I’m thankful for those special people in my life who seem somehow to understand me. I’m thankful for my church family who are so loving to each other.

A happy and blessed Thanksgiving to all of you.

    Happy Thanksgiving, Patricia!

I am so grateful to God for this life he has graciously given me in this time and place. And especially for my wonderful husband and son. I am also grateful for the joy of writing novels and the incredible community of readers and writers I have found. So much — it’s overwhelming.

I am so thankful for my husband. These last 6 weeks of surgery and then my right hand unusable have made me rely on him for many things I would normally do myself. He has done them cheerfully and faithfully!

I’m thankful for my family and friends and especially grateful for reconnecting with two friends. Due to various circumstances, we had not been in contact for many years. I’m also thankful to have found a new Sunday School class, which has provided new friendships. After over a year of being unable to play in my church orchestra, I am thankful that God is allowing me to play again.

I’ve much to be thankful for such as the Lord brining me safe through this past year and planting me in a church body near my home.

    Pat, Have a blessed Thanksgiving!

    Happy Thanksgiving Patricia and friends!
This has been a very difficult year for my family. My mom has a blood disorder. It is considered pre-leukemia. She gets chemo shots every six weeks and blood transfusions as needed. My dad has stage 4 lymphoma and a narrowing of his intestines where the small meets the large. He is on hospice right now. I am home full time helping take care of them.

I am thankful for Jesus carrying me through this. For him being my strength when I’m too tired or overwhelmed. I’m thankful for the love and support of my friends, family, and church. I’m thankful for wonderful Christian authors like you that write great books.

Oh, Erika, being a caregiver is so hard even though it is very rewarding. I’ve been one with both my m-i-l and my husband. And yes, Jesus gets us through. Blessings for you this Thanksgiving!

I’m very thankful for my family, that I still have my parents and my brother around and that I get to be with them.
