The Philantropists Series; Psalm 136:7-9

Three More Philanthropists Books are this week’s Reader Friday. And The Defender releases Saturday, December 3, 2002!

But first the photo and Scripture verse. On Monday night I went out to take the trash to the curb and when I turned around, the moon caught my eye. It was cold and almost didn’t go in and get my camera, but I’m so glad I did. It’s amazing to be able to capture the moon like this! Thank you, Cheryl Meints for sharing your camera with me! And I thought the verse went particularly well with the photo.

Now for the other three short-reads in the Philanthropists series.
The Protector by Ann Malley First line: “Whatever you want.”

Buckle up for break-neck, interracial romantic suspense from Amazon best-selling author, Ann Malley. The third installment of The Philanthropist Collection of short reads to set your spine on fire.

Enter Daire Warren, a well-connected billionaire Nina meets at the firing range. Too cute. He’s a philanthropist who does good when his image needs polishing. The New Orleans darling is a notorious playboy. He’s ten whole years older than Nina. A huge age gap for an inexperienced girl.

Daire is a father’s worst nightmare, so Nina entertains his advances with her own agenda.

A single date will give her daddy the shock of his life. Daire is more than willing to help a girl out. Naturally. The Commander should know what type of man his daughter could bring home…if she wantsAnd Daire is a snake in the grass, a CIA undercover operative who could recruit Nina for the CIA She’s leverage for now, to turn her spy father into a willing double agent.

Daire’s plan is on schedule, but not the melting of his heart. Nina is no child. Mature, witty, well informed, she takes him to the limit. Nina feels the same. Daire isn’t what he’s advertised to be. He’s charming, adorable, sure, but the playboy has a heart. A real one. So, when one of his humanitarian efforts blows up–on their date–she’s all in. Staying alive is top priority.

The Ally by Peggy Webb First line: “It’s midnight in Vicksburg, and the Ally is watching.”

The AllyFrom USA Today bestselling author Peggy Webb comes a page-turning story in The Philanthropists suspense series.

Now she gives away the money that cost her a family. A near-reclusive, she holes up in her home in historic Vicksburg with nobody for company except her dad, a cop, and the Ally, a voice on a talk radio show.

Adam Holt, a decorated former military helicopter pilot and single dad, is the voice on the radio. Every evening at midnight, he exposes the dark underbelly of his hometown and alerts his listeners to the evil he has discovered in the highest political and social ranks of a city in the bend of two rivers, the Mississippi and the Yazoo.

A chilling phone call, made in the dark of night, changes everything for Jenna and Adam. What a beautiful photo, Pat. And that verse is perfect for it.

“Light traveled faster than sound, so when Rocky Mountain K-9 Unit admin Jodie Chensaw the flames skyrocket up from somewhere in downtown Denver, she knew an explosion would quickly follow.” is the first line from “Silent Night Explosion” by Kathy Lee.

Pat, I didn’t get the usual email announcing your Friday blog today. That’s why I’m late responding.

It went out late because I actually had the post scheduled for tomorrow! Thanks for hopping over here, Tim! I was so glad I went back out in the cold because that’s the last night I could’ve taken the photo–rained the next two nights and then the moon was in the wrong place.
