Storm Front (Summer Thrillers Collection Book 1) is this week’s Reader Friday. Here’s the first paragraph:
“Dallas, Texas.
He was going to kill her. The unsuspecting victim had walked into the office building seconds ago. No idea her business partner was about to do her in.”
But first the photo and verse. When I returned to East Tennessee from Mississippi, these does and their fawns came to say hello. They stood and watched us for a few minutes before moving on. I thought the verse went well with the photo!

My take:
All of the stories in this anthology are edge-of-your-seat reads. Exactly what you would expect from these four talented authors. Each story has twists and turns you don’t expect and will keep you flipping pages to find out what happens next.
I highly recommend this faith-filled suspense collection. You can read it in KU or buy it.

Those deer look like they’re following the advice of the Scripture you choose to go with it. And that’s also a great song for today.
“Asher Morrison was tired of being a traitor.” is the first line of “Shadow”, book 7 of the Renegade series. I agree with Mary G. that Susan May Warren always hits the mark. I like towns with quirky names, and Renegade, CO provides a good visual. It reminds me a little of another fictional town from a book I read long ago: Cross Purposes, WY.

I love bluegrass music. That’s one of the many reasons why I enjoy watching The Andy Griffith Show, especially when the Darlings are on (The Dillards). I read lots of suspense and this book you reviewed sounds like one I need to check into. I’m reading an oldie but a goodie, Leaking Laffs Between Pampers and Depends by Barbara Johnson. It was published in 2000 and sadly she passed away in 2007.
