Happy USA 250th everyone! That verse is so true. Nice sky photos from the plane, Pat. This country has been abundantly blessed. I’m hoping for a sort of quiet 4th. My cats don’t like the neighbors firecrackers going off. I think this is the last year the City of Tucson will have a live fireworks display on “A” mountain just west of the downtown and I-10. It’s just too expensive and the fire department has to be out there to make sure nothing catches fire, then there is the clean-up the next day. I read they will try a non-explosive light display next year, possibly with drones.
I’m currently reading “Protecting the Baby” by Jodie Bailey. This is the most recent of the Colorado K-9 Unit series. The first line is “One more gesture of goodwill…one more hug…or sympathetic look… One more anything and Carly Mayor might shatter.”

That sounds like a great book, Tim. I’ll insert a photo of what I’ll be doing tomorrow. We’re having a barbecue at the community building after a fly over with planes in formation. I’ll probably post photos Tuesday if I get any. 🙂

Great song, too. I love that people from other countries who come here for the World Cup see the attributes of this country for themselves instead of the media version, and they are saying very nice things. May we fulfill the vision and calling God gave our founding fathers!

Happy 4th ! Our city is having a parade, concert and fireworks. The fireworks are close to my house so I can watch from my back deck.

We will have a quiet 4th. I fell and injured my right leg and am waiting to get an appointment with my orthopedic doctor. God Bless the USA is one of my favorite patriotic songs. I tear up every time I hear it. Same with the Star Spangled Banner. I don’t know how so many can dis this country that has given so many numerous opportunities. Come quickly Lord Jesus!

All but the mountains are in Florida, Gloria. The moon is the Strawberry Moon. Last year I captured it with my 35mm camera…I’ll have to find the photos! And Pepper’s book sounds really good!

LOVED both songs. So patriotic! Our small family is eating at a new restaurant in our town before watching the Angel movie, Young Washington. Then we’ll sit out our chairs at the rear of the van and watch the fireworks from there. EXCITED!!

DJ, hollidays where the family gets together are always hard after we lose a loved one. I always miss my daughter when I watch the fireworks because she loved the 4th of July fireworks!

Right now I’m wiping tears from listening to your two songs, I still tear up when I hear them! My husband is to sing the God Bess The USA at church tomorrow.
It’s been a good day, with my daughter and I texting about the type of fireworks she had when she was a kid, with the bottle rockets, “the snakes” and sparklers, and those balls you’d step on! And we’d always have a picnic with family at the river, it was fun times.
Your photos are beautiful and that’s wonderful you’re getting to fulfill your dream of flying. Is the mountain picture in NC? It reminds me of Black Mountain. So pretty!
We had plenty of fireworks to see tonight from our front porch, and so thankful my older dog has slept through them. Happy 4th and Happy Birthday America!!
