Fatal Finale ~ Reader Friday

Fatal Finale (The Erin Delaney Mysteries Book #3) by Nancy Mehl is this week’s Reader Friday. Here’s the first line: Kaley’s eyes opened, and she tried to focus on her surroundings.

But first the photo and verse. Yes, clouds again. 🙂 I saw the volcano-shaped cloud last week as I walked to the mailbox and knew I had to have it. Luckily, I had my phone with me, and I quickly snapped it. Barbara, what do you see this week? I love that verse and thought it went well with the cloud.

My take:

Oh wow. Fatal Finale drew me in from the first paragraph and kept me listening all the way to “The End”. This is the third book in the series, but it is a standalone, meaning you don’t have to read the first two to know what’s going on. But trust me, you’ll want to.

Kaley Quinn has been one of my favorite characters from Nancy Mehl’s books, as well as Erin Delaney, and Fatal Finale has both! I listened to it and enjoyed the narrator’s voice in this twisty suspense. It’s always refreshing to see female characters portrayed as intelligent and brave.

It’s hard to write about the story without giving spoilers, so I’ll just say that suspense/mystery readers will love it. The plot is excellent, and the twists and turns keep coming. You’ll find it hard to put the book down for any reason.
