Detection (Benson First Responders Book 4) by Lisa Phillips is this week’s Reader Friday. Here’s the first line: Thirty minutes after they left the conference center full of PD officers from around the country, Mitchell Gaines spotted the change in his dog.
But first, the photo and verse. I took this after walking 330 yards up to the observation deck. It was a little hazy, but the view was spectacular! I took several photos that I’ll probably share in the coming weeks. The verse is one I like that pairs well with the one in Psalm 37– “Wait patiently for the Lord to act..”
I cannot understand how anyone can look at the beautiful world and think it all happened by chance.

When the attacks keep coming, these two will have to fight together for the future God has for them. Or see it all swept away.
My Take:
This is a great romantic suspense story with twists and turns that will keep you flipping pages long after bedtime. Both Tessa and River are great characters–willing to face danger to help someone else. This is a non-stop, action-packed novel with suspense, dogs, danger, romance, and intrigue.
The plot is intriguing, and I love the character arc for both characters. This is a story that readers of Lynnette Eason will enjoy! You can get it on Amazon!

And I didn’t forget that today is the anniversary of 911. My prayers are with all of the families who lost loved ones on that date. And pray for this country, that history doesn’t repeat itself.
