Big Sky Showdown ~ Reader Friday

Big Sky Showdown by Sharon Dunn is this week’s Reader Friday. Here’s the first line: Fear skittered across Heather Jacobs’s nerves as half a dozen birds fluttered into the morning sky.

But first the photo and verse. I happened to look out the window earlier this week. On the hill above the house were two fawns. I wasn’t sure I could get outside fast enough to capture their photo, but I did. When they saw me, they didn’t run…I guess they haven’t learned to fear man yet. Sights like the fawns remind me of God’s goodness, and I was thankful He brought them near the house for me to see. God is good…and the answer is…All the time.

Now for Big Sky Showdown by Sharon Dunn. Here’s the cover and back copy:

My Take:

I started Big Sky Showdown by Sharon Dunnat at three in the morning and couldn’t put it down until I finished it! This story has any twists and turns as Heather and Zane run for their lives. Sharon Dunn is one of my favorite LIS writers, and this story delivers big time. I was rooting for Heather and Zane as they ran for their lives and hope that Zane’s brother, Jordon, gets his own story.

I love the way Dunn weaves in the importance of fathers and their influence on their kids’ lives. This is a story that will grip you from the start to the finish. This is an early book that you can nab for $.50, and I highly recommend it. I’m looking forward to Sharon Dunn’s next book!
