Bedlam at Bridal Falls: A Christian Christmas Novella Cozy Mystery Collection with authors Sharon Carpenter, Deboarah Sprinkle, and Jen Dodrill is this week’s Reader Friday. Here’s the first paragraph of the first novella by Sharon Carpenter: Claire Anderson winced at the infernal racket of grinding gears. Her feet danced between the clutch and the gas as she downshifted to get more power to her little red Beemer.
But first the photo and verse. I took the photo two years ago near Corinth, Mississippi, when the leaves were changing colors. The verse is one I’ve always loved as well as the changing of the seasons. That year the colors were pretty good on the trees around there.
Now for Bedlam at Bridal Falls: A Christian Christmas Novella Cozy Mystery Collection with authors Sharon Carpenter, Deboarah Sprinkle, and Jn Dodrill. Here’s the cover and back copy:
The guests come to Bridal Falls Lodge for Christmas romance. Murder, secrets, and buried treasure come with the reservation.
Three women from Trinity Sands Beach Club find themselves in the Georgia mountains, each hoping for a memorable holiday with the man she loves. None expect to become an amateur sleuth.
Deadly Reunion by Sharon H. Carpenter
A college reunion brings Claire face-to-face with an old love and a new murder, forcing her to confront the doubts threatening her future with Ben.
A Wedding to Die For by Deborah Sprinkle
Grace and Detective Peter Young’s picturesque mountain wedding is barely underway when a troubling surprise challenges both Peter’s investigative skills and Grace’s confidence in their new life together.
Mountain Treasure by Jen Dodrill
Karah and Gage Halyard’s second honeymoon takes a dangerous turn when their cat leads them to a hidden box of gold and a long-buried secret someone will do anything to keep hidden.
Three couples. Three dangerous mysteries. And one Christmas lodge where trust may be the greatest treasure of all.
Perfect for fans of clean Christian mysteries, gentle romance, holiday settings, and amateur sleuths.
My Take:
I thoroughly enjoyed these three delightful cozy mysteries set in the beautiful mountains of North Georgia–now I want to go there. The Christmas theme made them even better! The characters are well drawn, with a few appearing in all three stories. I really liked Hank. And what cozy mystery is complete without a cat? Rusty was a great escape artist.
I love it that the couples in each story are older and are getting a second chance at romance. And the mysteries are intriguing–I had suspicions of who did it but wasn’t sure until the end. These are stories that Baby Boomers will identify with and enjoy.
You can get Bedlam at Bridal Falls at Amazon in KU or buy it outright.

I think I forgot to share the video of the rocket launch, so here it is on my YouTube channel.
And here’s today’s song. It’s from another Gaither Gathering and I really enjoyed it.
