Backyard Blotter Reports ~ Mystery Question

Patricia Bradley Mystery Question 84 Comments

Backyard Blotter Reports

Backyard Blotter Reports is this week’s Mystery Question. I intended to do another repeat post, but when I read Friday’s Crime Reports in my paper, I couldn’t resist using some of them…

Now for the photo…except I can’t remember where I took this…but I thought it was beautiful. I do know I took it late in the afternoon…And I love that verse!

Now for last week’s Mystery Question. Three are true and one is false. It is your job to guess the false one!
  1. “No one was to blame for the accident, but it never would have happened if the other driver had been alert.”
  2. “My car was legally parked as it backed into the other vehicle.”
  3. “I got there first, but I had to knock his car out of the way to get the parking space.”
  4. “I was on the way to the doctor with rear end trouble when my universal joint gave way causing me to have an accident.”

And the answer is…#3. Congrats to all who answered correctly.

Now for this week’s Mystery Question, Backyard Blotter Reports. I really can’t believe people in my area did these! As usual, three (unfortunately) are true and I made one up. Can you guess which one?
  1. The woman was having a verbal argument with her boyfriend when she accidentally dialed 911 on the phone in her back pocket. When the officers arrived, she told them it was a mistake. However, the boyfriend had two outstanding warrants and the girl had even more.
  2. A woman fell and broke her ankle. While she was talking to the 911 dispatcher, another female started arguing with her over a can of beer. When officers arrived, they carted the other woman off to jail.
  3. An unnamed suspect threatened a neighbor because he thought UPS delivered his package that contained marijuana to the neighbor and he kept it. Since the police didn’t have the marijuana, no one went to jail.
  4. At a little after ten p.m., a woman saw six men milling around her yard, two with assault rifles. She locked the men in her shed and nailed the door shut. When deputies arrived, they found the shed padlocked, but no one was inside.

Okay, Super Sleuths, which one did I make up? Leave your answers in the comments, and I’ll enter you in a drawing for the February prize!

It’s a beautiful verse and photo no matter where the photo was taken.
Why does number 4 sound so familiar? Wait, is it from one of your books? My guess is number 4!

I know that wave. No, I’m mistaken. It’s frustrating when you can’t recall where you took a picture. But, the verse you chose is one to remember. Reminds me that God is good all the time…All the time, God is good.

Pat, I believe you made them all up. Otherwise, we seriously need to send people to 911 school to learn how to use it. I’m going to say you made up #4. Otherwise, that lady needs some serious help.

Everyone is gravitating to #4. We’ll see next week. I love that photo too, and I’m trying to remember when I could’ve taken it–I would’ve had to have been standing high about the people on the ground and wonder if I was on a ship??? That may be the mystery question. lol

The picture is beautiful. I love the clouds. The verse is well-chosen and so soothing.

I think #4 is made up. I have the same question others have stated. How does a woman round up six guys, two with assault rifles, and get them into a shed, where she locks and nails the door shut? If this was true, I think she probably ended up in the psych ward of the nearest hospital. And just think: they were probably there to protect her from herself.

I think #4 smoked some of #3’s incorrectly delivered marijuana. I also think the 911/police had a busy time that night, because #3 shared the marijuana with the entire neighborhood. It sounds like the whole lot of them are crazy.

Going with the gang on this one #4

After all those 911 calls and the “block” party, a walk along the beach in your lovely photo while meditating on Psalm 92:1-2 , sounds divine.

Barbara, I think you’re on to something. #4’s brain certainly seems addled. I’m also starting to wonder whether #4 isn’t a red herring since it’s so incredible. Hmm. Pat wouldn’t do that to us. Would she? 🙂

I agree that #4 seems far fetched, but I’m going to choose #2 because it seems incomplete to me. Yeah one woman was “carted” off to jail. But what happened to the first woman and her broken ankle. Plus, how did they know it was a broken ankle before she was seen by a medical professional? JMHO

#4 I hope no one crazy enough to do in real life. But then maybe it is a true one. But the others seem to be more realistic

#4 is false. I can’t see anyone confronting 6 men in their backyard with assault rifles. If it’s true, the woman needs a personal safety course!
