Back to Stupid Criminals 12 ~ Mystery Question

Patricia Bradley Mystery Question 1 Comment

Back to Stupid Criminals 12 is this week’s Mystery Question. I couldn’t believe some of the excuses people gave last week for what they did. But first the photo and verse.

I was waiting for my daughter, Carole, to arrive and took the Border Collies for a run on the golf cart. Lo and behold, when I looked to the east, these flat clouds were floating in the sky. I’d never seen flat clouds like this before and quickly snapped them. The verse was one I’d read earlier in the week, and I thought it fit.

By the way, Carole won first place with her entry in the romantic suspense category of the Florida Christian Writers Conference!

Now onto last week’s Back to Stupid Criminals 11 Mystery Question: Below are four alibis. Three are actual alibis that criminals have used. I made up one. Can you pick it out?
  1. A man going twice the speed limit crossed over to hit a pedestrian who was motioning him to slow down, then he turned around and tried it again. The driver’s alibi? The alignment in his car was bad.
  2. A man going double the speed limit in a school zone on a suspended license claimed he was a Texas Republican Sovereignty and couldn’t be arrested.
  3. A teenager was caught coming out of his vacationing neighbor’s bedroom window. His excuse? He’d lost his dog and thought it might have gotten into the house somehow.
  4. After being denied vacation weekend, a sergeant claimed he shot his master sergeant six times, killing him because he was on a diet.

And the answer is…#3! Congrats to all who guessed correctly!

Here’s something a little different! Below are four statements. Three are true. Which one did I make up? You can google the answers, but try to guess first. 😉
  1. Donkeys kill more people annually than planes.
  2. If Barbie were life-size, she’d stand 7 feet, 9 inches tall and her measurements would be 42-22-34.
  3. Apples, not caffeine, are more efficient at waking you up in the morning.
  4. Walt Disney was afraid of mice.

Okay, Super Sleuths which statement did I make up? Leave your answer in the comments and I’ll enter you in an October contest for…something!

Now for the blast from the past! This week it’s Deadly Revenge! I loved writing this book–I got to research blowing up a dam…
Twenty years ago, the construction of a dam caused people in Pearl Springs to lose their land to eminent domain, and someone bearing a grudge is clearly set on revenge. Russell County Deputy Jenna Hart and TBI Agent Max Anderson team up to track down the killer.
Max and Jenna worked together in the Chattanooga Police Department, and there was even a smoldering fire of attraction. As the sparks of romance reignite and the threads of the investigation get tangled when another suspect comes into play, Jenna and Max will have to draw on their skills to stay alive.

Now for today’s song. We sang “He Leadth Me” at the conference, and I wanted to share it. I love Pat Boone’s (remember him?) version of it!

Thanks for reading my blog…And my books!
