Happy Friday! No Reader Friday

Happy Friday! And good afternoon! Sorry that I don’t have a Reader Friday post, but I haven’t had time to read anything!

Now for a report on my fall:

While I have been bucked off a horse, and had other accidents, I’ve rarely fallen. That changed Tuesday when I took my car to clean it up. After the carwash, I vacuumed the carpet, and once I finished the driver’s side, I walked around to the other side, not noticing the curb. Big mistake. That’s what I stumbled over when I kissed the concrete.

Adrenalin got me through the National Religious Broadcasters Conference, making almost 10,000 steps each day, and the three-hour drive home. I even did the TV interview that had been scheduled. But now that the adrenalin is wearing off, other aches are making themselves known, like a bummed knee and a bruised rib. I’m just thankful nothing was broken, and I had no brain bleed! God is good.

Thank you so much for your prayers! Without them, I’m sure I would’ve felt much worse. I know I have the best readers in the world!

So thankful that you had no broken bones. I have osteoporosis and three and a half weeks ago I fell at the grocery store and broke my shoulder.
I’m slowly healing and having to wear a sling. Getting old sucks! So glad once again that you did not break anything!

Thank you for the update. So glad your injuries were not worse than they are. You are truly blessed. Just take it easy and watch out for those curbs. Oh, by the way, did you finish the cleaning of the car? Best wishes to you – you will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Pat, I’m so glad you had not serious injuries, and it’s after the adrenaline wears off that we discover all the other parts that hurt. I’m continuing to pray for your speedy recovery. I concur with Gail about getting old.

That is an amazing photo, Pat. And, how hard it is sometimes to wait for the Lord. When we do, the benefits are wonderful.

I’m currently reading “Unseen Danger” by Jerusha Agen. The first chapter has this line: “The explosion shook the floor under her feet. No way was that normal concert pyrotechnics. She spun back as screams filled the air like the death cry of the music that suddenly choked to a halt.”

I’ve read that one, Tim! It is so good. I may have even reviewed it here…will have to check and see. And yes, I’m very thankful my injuries are no worse than they are. But I am sore.

Glad you are home safe and sound, Pat. Yeah the adrenaline let down may just be brutal. Been praying and will continue to do so.

Lovely, lovely photo Great verse to claim, especially now
    .
I’m reading Dangerous Performance by Stephenia McGee. This is the fourth book I’ve read of hers in the last 10 days. Oohh so good! The first line is as follows: “To the victor belonged the spoils, but to the defeated, humiliation and despair.” This is a trilogy entitled, the Accidental Spy.

Hope you get some rest and recovery in the next few days.

So grateful for the good report. I know the aches and pains are troublesome, but this too shall pass. Thank God, the damage was no worse.

I love the picture and verses. But waiting is so hard. I think we all struggle with patience. It seems more difficult to wait as I get older.

You are an interesting and colorful character, but I did not want it to include the yellow, blues and purples and greens of bruising. So glad it was not worse and praying you feel much better very soon.

You are amazing getting through so many obligations. Falls can really rattle the bones and ligaments and fracture our confidence. Well done you. God is good.

I am glad that you are on the other side of the fall, recuperating, and doing better. I am reading Love, Unscripted by Denise Hunter. This is the first line: In a world where surprises were not always the good kind, Chloe Anderson knew she’d better savor the moment.
