Friday May 22 Photo and Song

Patricia Bradley Friday Post 32 Comments

Friday May 22, Photo and Song is today’s post. I took the photo back in the winter when I got up early enough to catch the sunrise, and I love the way the verse fits. I hope you enjoy!

Here’s Psalm 130. Here’s Psalm 130. It’s one of my favorites:

Psalm 130

A song of ascents.

Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord;
    Lord, hear my voice.
Let your ears be attentive
    to my cry for mercy.

If you, Lord, kept a record of sins,
    Lord, who could stand?
But with you there is forgiveness,
so that we can, with reverence, serve you.

I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,
and in his word I put my hope.
I wait for the Lord
more than watchmen wait for the morning,
more than watchmen wait for the morning.

Israel, put your hope in the Lord,
for with the Lord is unfailing love
and with him is full redemption.
He himself will redeem Israel
    from all their sins.

Here’s the song for today. I’ve been meaning to use this one and every week I forgot. I hope you enjoy! Here are other versions.

Perfect verse for a morning sunrise captured beautifully in your photo!

    Happy Memorial Day to all.

Absolutely beautiful photo, and you are correct, the Scripture goes with it perfectly.

“As he dodged a skull-splitting kick to his temple, Gideon Landry wondered again if this side hustle was going to pan out.” This is the first line of Raging Waters by Dana Mentink

Have a good Memorial Day everyone, especially as we remember those who lost their lives fighting for our freedom.

What a lovely picture and verse. Although it was mid-afternoon before I saw it, it’s a good way to start a day.

I also enjoyed the video. Yet, it’s a bit nostalgic seeing all of those wonderful singers who are no longer with us. I wouldn’t be surprised if a third or more of them have passed on. I see one after the other in the early Gaither videos who are gone from us. If I live long enough, everyone I ever knew who have accepted Christ as Savior may be waiting on the other side wondering where I am.
