Happy New Year to You All! Jeremiah 29:11

Happy 2021 to You All as I pop in to say hello today. Praying that 2021 will be kinder and gentler. The first day of the year is exciting. I love setting goals, not resolutions…those I break within a week. lol Especially resolutions having to do with weight loss. lol I think I’ll share some of my goals with you.

  1. Growing a closer walk with God.
  2. Sharing what Jesus has done in my life with others.
  3. Read through the Bible.
  4. Read through my Jesus Calling journal.
  5. Write two books and start another in a new series set near the Mississippi coast
  6. Find more crazy crooks and their deeds as well as items that have been lost.

Do you set resolutions or goals? This will be my 16th year to read through the Bible, but instead of reading chronologically, I found a Bible when I redid my office that someone had given me in 2008. I couldn’t believe I’d misplaced or that I didn’t even know the person who inscribed it to me. It’s a mystery that I will solve in the coming weeks!

Thank each and every one of you who have followed and/or commented on my blog last year. Last year! Oh! that feels so good to say. Blessings and may the new year be better than 2020! See you Tuesday with a new Mystery Question that features lost and found items once again. 🙂

Pat, wishing you and all on this blog a healthy, blessed New Year.

I don’t usually set goals at the beginning of the year. They seem to get set as the year progresses. I do have one that started last year, and that is to work on the friendships I have. The pandemic brought little good, but it did make me realize how important friendships are, and I’ve reconnected with several from my past as well.

I haven’t kept track but I love reading through the Bible yearly, too. Wishing you a happy, blessed, healthy 2021 where you easily accomplish all goals (and maybe include some travel).

Happy New Year, Pat! I pray it will be a much better year for all of us. Of course, that won’t happen instantaneously but let’s pray and trust we will see some positive changes soon.

Happy New Year to you, Patricia! I do set goals every year, and I posted them to the back of my office (aka guest room) door last night. After reading your list, though, I’m going to add a couple of things.

I agree that relationships become more and more precious as time goes on, and I am so grateful for the new friendships in the writing community.

You’re going to write two books this year? I’m in awe.

Kay, one of them will be only 55k…the other 95-100K. I’ve actually started the larger book or at least have come up with a plot and characters. lol Should start the actual writing by mid-January. It’s due June 1. But, then writing is all I do…no husband, children all 16 hours away…I’m really glad to have connected with you this year!

Happy New Year, Patricia. It’s been fun getting to know you this year. I
make goals, but no resolutions. It seems resolutions don’t allow for any grace, but goals allow pressing onward! Blessings!
