For My Writer Friends:
I don’t know about you, but I get a little excited when a new writing guide comes along. Today I get to spill the news that The Conflict Thesaurus: A Writer’s Guide to Obstacles, Adversaries, and Inner Struggles (Vol. 1) has hit the shelves.
This guide is about that killer ingredient our stories need: Conflict. It shows you exactly how to use conflict to raise tension, create a fresh story premise, and pull readers in. The guide also dives into over 100 conflict scenarios and how each can be endlessly adapted to challenge a character inside and out. Problems, Moral Dilemmas, Ticking Clocks, Obstacles, No-Win Scenarios…this book is plot brainstorming in overdrive!
I’m part of Angela & Becca’s Street Team for this release, and we have an important question to ask you:
Can You Survive Danger as Well as Your Favorite Protagonist?
Sure, it’s easy for you to use conflict to torture your characters and make them struggle, but what if it’s you in the hot seat instead? Will you make good decisions, or bad ones?
It’s time to find out by taking the Conflict Challenge! I dare you to become the protagonist in a special story Angela & Becca have created. And heads up, if you survive, you win some pretty cool stuff!
GIVEAWAY ALERT For My Writer Friends
While you’re at Writers Helping Writers taking the Conflict Challenge, make sure to enter The Conflict Thesaurus celebratory giveaway, too. But hurry – it’s only on for a few days.
So, take the challenge…if you dare. And don’t forget to come back and let me know how you did against Camp Deadwood!

I didn’t survive. Apparently I underestimate danger.:-) The Conflict Thesaurus sounds pretty useful!

It is, Priscilla. I already have my copy!
Oh gracious! It about scared the liver out of me! I did survive, but my roots grew an inch! Sounds like a great book.

It’s really good for a writer, Barbara!
Apparently it isn’t a good idea to get separated from the group, because I died in an alien encounter! Lol! So excited for this one! Heading to Amazon to put it on my wish list – if I can wait until then to order my own copy!

Regina, I already have mine and as soon as I find my mind, I’m going to use it when I create the new characters for my new series.
Haha, that was fun! I failed pretty quickly the first time, but made it through safely the second time on Becca’s side. On a side note, I had a job interview today, and I drove myself out for the first time, it went well, we chatted more about music and diet than the job, and hopefully I get offered a position! It’s at a large greenhouse that grows seedlings. Pray for me, that if I’m supposed to get this job, I’ll feel comfortable accepting a position, and if not, I feel confident to turn it down! Thank you! And I am still praying for you, Patricia!

Glad you had fun with the game, Monique! And I prayed for you and your job and thank you for your prayers. That’s what’s getting me through.
Well, I died by the hands of the Banjo Brothers but tried again and made it!! Thanks Pat, that was fun and a cute diversion. Just tells me I need to stay in the attorney world, that I wouldn’t make it so good as a writer. LOL!!

Any time, Angela!!
I survived with Becca! Then Angela, lol. Then I went back to see all the ways I could have died, lol. Super fun, and I’ve shared it with my writer friends. Looks like a great book, one I should add to my “writing assist” library. And I just realized Angela and Becca wrote the Emotion Thesaurus, which I have referenced lots. Thanks for sharing!

Elizabeth, so glad you survived! I got the pdf so I could have at my fingertips while I’m writing.

I’m glad you survived, Elizabeth! I’m so glad you enjoyed it. I bought the Conflict Thesaurus in pdf form so I can keep it handy on my computer while I’m writing.
So glad to hear about this new book. I have their negative trait, emotional wound and the emotion thesaurus. The books are wonderful references.

They are, Sally Jo. I have all of them either in print or pdf. For the Emotion Thesaurus, I prefer the pdf because I don’t have to leave my computer. lol. And when I’m working on my story, I reactivate my subscription to their website. The have so many things there to help writers.
Looking forward to the two new books. Already have and order for Crosshairs. Love this series. Thanks sharing your talents with us.
