What I’m Reading ~ Methuselah Project S.O.S. is the sequel to The Methuselah Project reviewed here. I am so glad Methuselah Project S.O.S. is out! I’ve been looking forward to this book it seems like forever. Roger Greene is such an interesting character. And we get to find out what happened to Sophie, the woman who helped him escape.
Here’s the back cover copy:
Born in the final days of Nazi Germany, an underground organization is alive, growing, and manipulating events in our world today …
The survivor of a secret German experiment in 1943, Roger Greene possesses a unique physiology. To this day, his body remains youthful and heals quickly. The CIA gave him a new identity and pulled strings to get him into the modern U.S. Air Force. But in exchange, they want information about the mysterious Heritage Organization that Roger once escaped.
Now, Roger’s main thrills are serving his country in an F-35 and spending time with Katherine, the love of his life. Suddenly, the CIA shows up and drops a bombshell—evidence that Sophie, the woman who Roger believed had died helping him escape, is alive. The Heritage Organization is holding her and others prisoner in an unknown location.
Honor-bound to rescue the woman who risked her life for him, Roger accepts temporary duties with the CIA. But just when the mission is already straining his relationship with Katherine, Roger becomes a murder suspect. A fugitive, he continues alone the mission to find Sophie. What he discovers lands this pilot deep inside a shadowy network intent on world domination.
Will Roger’s faith carry him through this quest—or will those tracking him succeed in snuffing out his long life once and for all?
A sensational standalone story, Rick Barry’s sequel to The Methuselah Project launches you into an unforgettable journey through danger, suspense, hope, and love—an experience that will keep you turning pages well into the night!
My Take on What I’m Reading ~ Methuselah Project S.O.S.:
This story has twists and turns that will keep you up way into the night!
I loved catching up with Roger Greene. At the beginning of the story, Roger is in America and a Captain in the Air Force ( Captain America, anyone?) He has a love interest, Katherine and I liked her. She fought for Roger’s innocence when he was accused of being a traitor.
Roger goes undercover to destroy the Heritage Organization’s latest diabolic plan to take over the world. Sophie, the woman who helped him escape in The Methuselah Project is back and helps him again. I won’t ruin it for you by telling you how. 🙂 But it is such an interesting twist! The story is full of twists and suspense. I stayed up past two to finish the story.
Methuselah Project S.O.S is a stand-alone–readers don’t have to read the first book, The Methuselah Project, to enjoy the second one.
You can purchase Methuselah Project S.O.S here, and The Methuselah Project here.
I received a copy of The Methuselah Project S.O.S. before it released and have since purchased a copy–I liked it that well.
Leave a comment, and I’ll enter you in a drawing for a copy of the first book, The Methuselah Project. Do you like to read books in a series? If so, do you prefer a series that wraps up the story or do you like a continuing story?

Good photo and choice of Scripture. He certainly turns our darkness into light.
The S.O.S sequel sounds as interesting as the first, and I definitely plan to read them.
I like books that are a part of a series. I’m not fond of ones that leave you hanging until the next book, unless the series is complete by the time I read it 🙂 It takes too long to wait between releases to see what happens next. I do like a series which carries the characters of prior books into the following books. Dee Henderson has taken that even further by including a few characters from a past series into a new one.

Dee Henderson is one of the reasons I write Christian fiction, Tim. Her and Kristin Heitzman. I read their books and learned how to put faith in my stories without them being preachy. And glad you like the meme!
I did read the first and this sounds great–looking forward to it.

Hi Delores! Yes, it’s a really good book.
Love the picture and the verse! I read The Methuselah Project and enjoyed it – a little way out there for me, but nevertheless I will look for the chance to read this second book. Thanks for sharing 🙂

Have a blessed weekend, too, Lucy! Thanks for stopping by!
This sounds like a really interesting series! I enjoy both standalone books and books in a series. I don’t like series that go on for a really long time though, I prefer it when they tie up the series after a few books.

I agree, Megan, about a series going on and on with no complete resolution. This is a good series! Thanks for stopping by.
I love a series that wraps up one story at a time with character going from book to book

I like that kind, too, Shelia. I’d like to write a series with the same character and I may one day! Thanks for stopping by!
I just discovered I failed to reply yesterday. I guess it had something to do with all the time I spent in grocery stores, not my favorite thing to do. Yesterday was made extra difficult by the fact I was trying to use my bluetooth device to ask my wife questions, while wearing a mask. She had a hard time understanding what I said.
Now, to your question, I enjoy series. It’s nice to have a variety, some that continue the story and some that simply are tied together by some of the same characters but with each one being complete in itself.

I agree about each book in a series being complete in itself, Edward. I hate going to the grocery, too, especially Walmart. Have a good weekend!
I don’t like for a series to leave me hanging too much since it may be a long time until the next book!

Me, either, Joan. I quit reading a very popular author because of that very thing. lol. Thanks for stopping by.
