Lisa Harris’ The Escape–First Line Friday

Lisa Harris' The Escape Gen 9:16

Lisa Harris’s The Escape–First Line Friday. “There is a razor-thin edge between justice and revenge, where the two easily blur if left unchecked.” Wow! That really grabbed me.

But first the photo. I love rainbows, and I was blessed to catch a double one in 2017. It’s not as sharp as I’d like it to be. That happens when you travel down the road with a window down, trying to photograph something. Not admitting whether I was driving…

Now onto Lisa Harris’ The Escape. It’s a great book! Here’s the back cover copy.

Lisa Harris' The EscapeUS Marshals Madison James and Jonas Quinn are thrust into a high-profile case when they are called on to transport two prisoners across the country on a private plane. But when the plane experiences engine trouble en route from the Pacific Northwest to Colorado, the pilots crash-land the aircraft deep in the heart of the sprawling Salmon-Challis National Forest.

When Madison and Jonas regain consciousness, they find both pilots and one prisoner dead–and one fugitive on the run. They’ll have to negotiate the rugged and remote backcountry through Idaho, Wyoming, and Colorado while tracking a murderer who is desperate to disappear–and will do anything to stop them.

This high-octane game of cat-and-mouse from bestselling and award-winning author Lisa Harris will have your heart pumping as you try to catch a fugitive with nothing to lose.

I thought I’d be finished with Deception but unfortunately I’m not. I’ll be back to review this at a later time!

The winner of Elizabeth Goddard’s Present Danger is…Linda Klager! I’ll contact you tomorrow.

Beautiful picture! Double rainbows are so lovely! Great scripture to put with the picture! I absolutely agree with you on The Chase! Highly intense and fast paced!

Rainbows are so beautiful. I love them. Thank you, Pat.

I read “The Escape”, and it was great. I have read most of Lisa’s books. She is a very talented author. I’m looking forward to reading the next in the series, “The Chase”, which released last Tuesday. Unfortunately, Barnes & Noble had it available for preorder (including for the Nook), then pulled it from the Nook on release day. B&N gave me a shoulder shrug reply when I asked why.

“Autumn looks like death, sometimes, with the bloodred leaves fading to burgundy and finally to rust and brown.” from Ramona Richards’ “A Murder Among Friends”. Another great book from Ramona.

The Escape is a fast paced, action filled book. I enjoyed it and The Chase. I am reading Hostile Intent by Lynette Eason. The first line is: “Today, the watching ended and the killing started.”

Oh wow I love that first line! Will have to add Lisa Harris to my list of authors to read.

Beautiful picture and verse. Lisa’s book was really good! I’m looking forward to reading the second book in the series. I really enjoy her books. My fist slammed into my opponent’s jaw, the collision so jarring that I felt the vibration all the way to my shoulder. From Between the Wild Branches by Connilyn Cossette.

I read “The Escape” and am anxious to read “The Chase” which just released! I could not put the book down, it was SO SO good. Lisa Harris is one of my go-to writers for suspense novels 🙂
My first line is from a book I’ve just started entitled “No Place Like Home” by Debra Clopton. It’s a Love Inspired from 2006….oldie but a goodie! I just really enjoy these older books 🙂
“Glancing at the lone figure standing in the reflection of her side mirror, Dottie Hart stomped hard on the brake and wrangled her prehistoric motor home to a groaning halt.”

This promises to be a fun read I can tell from the back cover blurb! Just what I need after a stressful couple of days. Thanks for the rainbow picture! I love it when I see a double one.

Lisa’s book has a great premise!
First line of Roxanne Rustand’s Hard Evidence.
Janna McAllister swept a cobweb away from her ear, blew at the damp tendrils of hair trailing over her forehead and stared at the tree mice sitting on the kitchen counter of Cabin Ten.

I’m terribly slow this week. Busy days yesterday and today. I looked at your email several times, but didn’t have my book handy. I finished it earlier this evening. From Written in Ink by Sara Davison: Cash hit the mute button on the remote. Was that a knock? (Book will be releasing in less than a month.)

I love that picture and verse.
