Reader Friday ~ Holiday Amnesia by Lynette Eason

I’m catching up on my Christmas books! lol Do you ever do that? Buy books you fully intend to read during a certain season and end up reading them months later?

This week I read another Love Inspired Suspense, this one Holiday Amnesia by Lynette Eason. It was one I could not put down and stayed up WAY too late to finish. Here’s the back cover copy:

With no memory, who can she trust?

A deadly Christmas in Wrangler’s Corner

Robin Hardy survived an explosion in her university lab—but her memories are gone. With danger lurking behind every Christmas tree, she needs shelter from the attackers she can’t identify. She’ll trust fellow professor Toby Potter to safely hide her away. But when his secrets come between them, the truth could mean the difference between life and death this holiday season.

My take:

This is a real page-turner. Robin Hardy witnesses a murder and the lab she works at is blown up with her in it. She manages to escape, but the murderer is out to get her. Toby Potter had been assigned to infiltrate the lab because the FBI had word a deadly virus was being created in the lab. When Robin discovers Toby has been using her to get information on the people working in the lab, she is furious. Then the explosion and she loses her memory. When Toby saves her from the murderer, she’s thankful, but she doesn’t remember him at all. And he’s glad because when Robin does, she won’t want to have anything to do with him.

Lynette Eason, as always, did a great job with the characters and the suspense in Holiday Amnesia.

Leave a comment and I’ll enter you in a drawing for a book from my library, including this one. Tell me if you only read Christmas themed books at Christmas.

I am like you and intend to read books when they arrive but other books take their place. So I do read Christmas books whenever it strikes my fancy. Especially if they are written by a favorite author like Lynette Eason.

I try to save my Christmas books for that season, but it doesn’t always work out that way! Really like Lynette Eason’s books.

Honestly, I very rarely read Christmas fiction around Christmas time. Most of the Christmas books I read around Christmas are devotionals or something more akin to that. The fiction ones usually find their way into my paws during the spring or summer when I have more down time. 🙂

It’s always nice to read Christmas books in the season. Of course, there’s always Christmas in July…
I thoroughly enjoy Lynette Eason’s books no matter what season.

I usually read Christmas books from Oct.-Dec. BUT there are always exceptions! I just read one in March that I could not get my hands on any sooner!

I’ll read Christmas books any time of year! I adore Lynette’s books and thre are only four of her books that I haven’t read yet and this is one of them, I have it on my Kindle, but just need to find the time to squeeze it in between other review books!

I am afraid I have to be in the holiday spirit to read a Christmas book. But now if it’s a good suspense that is a different story.

I love reading Christmas stories and it doesn’t matter what time of year I read them in. I will read a Christmas story anytime of the year.

I generally read the Christmas stories when they arrive. The exception is if I’m reading a completed series from a past year. Then I read them all in sequence including the Christmas episode.
I am a big fan of Lynette Eason, and have read all of her books in this genre. You can rely on her for a hit. Holiday Amnesia is no exception. My only quibble is it is another amnesia story. There are too many in my opinion.

I try to just read Christmas books around Christmas time…usually starting after Thanksgiving (depending on when I finish the book that I was reading before) and ending just after Christmas or in early January depending on how long it takes me to finish the book I was reading! Most of the books I read aren’t specific to a season, although if I have a book that is specific, I do try to read it during that season or close to that season!

I intend to read Christmas books at Christmas time, but it rarely works out that way…lol! So I read them whenever I can get to them. 🙂 Usually, I have review books to do so I don’t often get to read a book just because I’m in the mood for it or whatnot.

Lynette Eason is an engaging writer for sure! Thanks for featuring Holiday Amnesia. I’ve read a few with this theme and they always ramp up the tension for me!
