Counter Attack ~ Reader Friday

Counter Attack; Psalm 62:5-6

Counter Attack is this week’s Reader Friday. I know, you’ve been hearing me talk about the book that was released this week fo-eva but Counter Attack released this week!!

I thought you might like to know how a release goes…First of all, most of the work that goes into a book release happens way before the release. I’ve been working on blog posts and podcast interviews for weeks now. Here’s a list of some of them (I say that because I will probably forget one!)

But first, the photo and Scripture verse. When I opened my front door this morning, this is what I saw. I snapped several shots that will probably show up soon. I can almost see Jacob’s Ladder there…

Now back to Counter Attack. Here are a few of the podcasts I’ve been on (there’s no telling what you might learn lol).

And here are a few responses from readers:

“Plenty of action and interesting details about the dark web and police procedure keeps this thriller with light Christian messaging moving.” ~ Booklist

“This book will have readers flipping the pages late into the night.” Lynette Eason, best-selling and award winning author of the Danger Never Sleeps series.

“Riveting from page one, Counter Attack pulled me in and held me captive, while spine-chilling tingles had me looking over my shoulder.” ~ Elizabeth Goddard, best-selling author of Cold Light of Day.

You can read the first chapter and watch the trailer for Counter Attack here.

Leave a comment and I’ll enter you in the May drawing for a book from my library, which could include a copy of Counter Attack!

Sally Jo Pitts is the winner of the April 21 drawing for those who entered the Revell Goodreads drawing and commented on my blog with how many days were left in the giveaway that has now ended. I hope a bunch of you won books in that giveaway!

I really want to thank you all for reading my blog and talking up Counter Attack! Last time I checked it was #22 in Amazon’s Christian Suspense and Mystery!

I’ll be back next week with a review of Robin Patchen’s latest — Vengeance in the Mist.

Love the photo, Pat. It and the verse do look forward to God’s promised protection.

I am nearing the end of “Counter Attack”, and will finish it this morning. I do believe this book is your best yet, and I’ve read them all. The characters are so finely tuned, you must have spent a ton of hours working out their personalities. I think Nathan, Alex, and I are about to figure out who Phame is at the same time. You’ve kept me guessing so far!

I’l be starting Carrie Parks’ book “When Death Draws Near” begins with “MA’AM. SHERIFF REED TOLD ME TO COME AND get you. He said he was sorry you had to wait so long. The body’s here. I mean, it was here before . . . downstairs. In the morgue.”

I was so happy to see that #22, Gloria! It won’t last long but it’s nice to see while it does. lol It may have gone higher, but I didn’t keep checking. I figured out a long time ago that sales weren’t up to me. That’s God’s department. Mine is to keep writing. 🙂

I love that the clouds have an opening where the blue sky is visible. It makes you feel that you can peak through and see Heaven. The scripture fits so well.

I love your new book. I submitted my review to Amazon on release day and finally got an email during the night that it was accepted.

First line of Letters of Trust by Wanda E. Brunstetter: “I can’t believe that Vic and I will be moving to Pennsylvania in the morning.” Eleanor Lapp choked back tears as she stood in the Schwartz family’s yard and gave her friend Doretta a hug.

Love the book trailer! I knew readers would love your book 🙂 I’m going to put it on my want-to-read list.

I’m currently reading “Lost in Darkness” by Michelle Griep (definitely a page turner):

“There was something glorious about the first day of June. The time of year when the earth exhaled a warm breath, coaxing tender shoots and delicate emotion. And for one blessed moment, Amelia Baldur surrendered to the wonder of it, lifting her face to the sunshine beaming through her bedroom window. Surely this was how heaven would feel.”
