Really Really Dumb Criminals 7 ~ Mystery Question

Patricia Bradley Mystery Question 58 Comments

Really Really Dumb Criminals 7 is this week’s Mystery Question.  Evidently, I’ll have to not be so funny with the dumb criminal scenarios…

But first the photo and verse. Can you believe that three weeks ago we were without power because of Icemegaton, and two weeks ago we still had ice and snow in places? And now daffodils are in bloom. Amazing. I think this verse sort of goes with the last month. 🙂

Now for last week’s Mystery Question, Really Really Dumb Criminals 6. As usual, four choices, three of which are true. I made up one–can you guess which one?
  1. “Follow the true events of a real-life bank robber, the thief wrote in a self-published book. Then he got caught robbing another bank using the same tactics he wrote about.
  2. Can you get any dumber than leaving your prison discharge papers behind in the government truck you stole just outside the jail you just walked out of?
  3. Should you decide to rob an empty house, just hope it isn’t one that police detectives are using for a stakeout. That’s what happened to one hapless burglar.
  4. If you’re on parole and have the winning ticket for a huge lottery payout, don’t slug a deputy when you show up to collect your winnings. You’ll go right back in the slammer.

And the answer is…the very popular #3. As I said, I’ll have to not be funny on the next ones…Congrats to all who guessed correctly.

Now for this week’s Mystery Question, Really Really Dumb Criminals 7. As usual, four choices, three of which are true. I made up one–can you guess which one?
  1. If you’re going to rob a store where you regularly shop and the clerks know you, make sure it isn’t one that has your name and address because you rent movies there. That’s what happened to one guy. Police quickly nabbed him at his home.
  2. Don’t be like the man wanted for multiple felonies who was found folded inside a dryer by deputies. They pulled him out limb by limb along with a dryer sheet, socks and unmentionables, and took him to jail.
  3. During a routine traffic stop, police uncovered a stolen car, cash and a loaded revolver along with a bag labeled “Definitely not a bag full of drugs” — which, of course, was full of drugs.
  4. Two guys robbed a little convenience store, wearing ski masks. The robbery went well…Unfortunately, the two also wore their sports letter jackets with their names on the back. They were later arrested.

Okay Super Sleuths, which one did I make up? Leave your answer in the comments and I’ll enter you in a drawing for a book from my library.

Don’t forget the audio version of Fatal Witness is on sale here for 50% off!!

As a child, artist and potter Dani Bennett witnessed the brutal murder of her parents. With no memory of the incident or her true identity, she was forced to take on a new name and a new life, hidden away in Montana for the past 25 years.

Mae Richmond has spent the same stretch of time searching for her granddaughter, who went missing the night her daughter and son-in-law were murdered. Convinced the woman she saw in a pottery magazine feature is the woman she’s been searching for, she enlists the help of K-9 officer Mark Lassiter of Pearl Springs, Tennessee, who tracks Dani down.

Skeptical but curious, Dani sets out on a journey to uncover the secrets of her past and reclaim her true identity. But someone close to her is determined to keep the truth of what happened all those years ago hidden.

Now for Tuesday’s song. I love this song and hope you enjoy it.

They’re all really dumb!!! It could be 3 or 4, but I’m choosing 4.
Love those daffodils! I am waiting for mine. I live in Ohio so it’s too soon. Also, we got our snow back. Uggg

I agree, Charlotte! I should’ve disclosed that the photo was taken last year at this time–I’m in Florida and haven’t seen a single daffodil/buttercup. lol We’ll see if it’s #4 next week…and I’m so sorry your snow is back.

They were all pretty silly and could be any one of them, but I’m going to say number 2 because how could he would have to be pretty small to get in the dryer full of clothes and how could he close the dryer.

I think I’m going with #3 today, for no particular reason lol. All could be true, people can do some incredibly stupid things! I love the daffodils and the song, it’s one of my favorites Fatal Witness sounds amazing!

That’s a stunning photo and attests to the resilience of God’s creation as the verse confirms. 10,000 reasons is another song our praise band sings from time to time. Thanks for featuring it.

    Dumb and dumber crooks:
#1. Robs a store where is does business without a mask knowing they would have his contact info. I think that’s the definition of dumb criminal.
#2. Brings new meaning to drying out.
#3. Could a drug dealer send a clearer message?
#4. Name on the jacket while committing a robbery. Hmm.
I think it’s between #1 and #4. Varsity jackets usually only have a last name on them, so unless it’s a really unusual name it probably would only help confirm a person as the thief. Robbing a place where you should know they have your contact info is more than dumb. Eenie, meenie, miney, moe… I’ll take a stab and with #1 I’ll go.

I agree with Priscilla, daffodils are happy looking. Those above brought a smile to my face.

Oh my! These really are dumb. It’s hard to believe you only made up one. It’s between 1 and 2. Going with #1???????

    Love this song!!!! Thanks

I will go with #4 this week. They are all pretty ridiculous though so it is hard to know for sure which one you made up.

Well, here I am again coming in late. I just can’t seem to get an early start. I love the picture and verse. I haven’t seen any daffodils yet, but my aunt in Texas sent a picture that her daughter took. My cousin first saw the green leaves pushing up through the snow two or three weeks ago. This week she was rewarded with several flowers.

I’m choosing #2 because it’s the only one without a dead giveaway like the other three: robbing a store where they have your name on file, wearing a letter jacket with your name on it, and a bag stating no drugs here. At least the guy in the dryer was hidden to some extent, although I wonder how he managed to get into it, if this really happened.

Our daffodils bloomed also, but then the weather turned again, and froze them out. I think #2, because it would be really hard to fit in the dryer, and maybe impossible to close the door once you were inside. But sometimes, criminals are so stupid, that who knows??!!

I’m even a day later than you Edward! We have daffodils in full bloom here in East Tn, but with the 20s at night and snow flurries all weekend, they’re kinda drooping!
I’m going with #2, mainly wondering why he ended up in a dryer?
Patricia, please don’t stop with the funny ones! This is a sad, crazy world we live in anymore and we need all the laughter, eye rolls, and joy you are able to send our way.
They can’t get too funny so please keep making us laugh!

Never late, Dottie. I hope your buttercups/daffodils survive! I’ll keep posting these since I don’t think I’ll ever run out of material. lol The problem is coming up with one that hasn’t been committed. We’ll see if it’s #2 next week…
