Psalm8:3,9 Mystery Question~Blotter Reports

Mystery Question~Blotter Report is back! I had a few extra minutes this week and used them to create a fourth “crime” for a blotter report. I took the photo for today early one morning. Don’t you love that time of day? 😉 A few people don’t because it’s kind of early…

And now for the answer to last week’s puzzles:

1. THREE WOMEN TURNED INTO ROSES

Once there was an evil wizard. He took 3 women from their homes and turned them into rose bushes that looked exactly alike. He put them in his garden in buckets. One of the women had a husband and children and begged the wizard to let her see them. He agreed. At night he brought the woman to her house. In the morning he came and took her home. Next day the husband decided to go rescue her. So he snuck into the wizard’s garden. He looked and looked at the 3 identical rose bushes trying to figure out which could be his wife. Suddenly he knew the answer and he took his wife home. How did he know which rose bush was his wife?

And the answer is…because he took the rose bush inside, there was no dew on it and the other two had dew. Congrats on all who got this one

2.  WHAT IS SEEN IN THE MIDDLE OF MARCH AND APRIL THAT CAN’T BE SEEN AT THE BEGINNING OR END OF EITHER MONTH?

Answer: R, of course. 🙂

3. WHAT WORD WHEN YOU ADD A SYLLABLE BECOMES SHORTER?

Answer: short

And now onto our Mystery Question~Blotter Reports…these are reports from my little area. I can’t imagine what it would be like in a big, populated place!
  1. A woman reported that two female acquaintances were staying under her house and tearing out the pipes. This has been going on for two months.
  2. An officer spotted a woman walking in the middle of the road after telling her not to. She was arrested and charged with obstructing a city street. The count jail refused to accept her since she’d just been released earlier the same day.
  3. A man and woman checked into a motel and after they checked out the next day, the wall-mounted television was gone.
  4. When the police pulled over the middle-aged driver of a Camaro arrested for drag-racing against a Dodge Charger, he admitted to speeds as high as 70 miles an hour in a 45 zone. The Dodge Charger got away.

Okay, Mystery Sleuths, which blotter report did I make up? Leave your answer in the comments and I’ll enter you in a drawing for a book from my library!

Pat, that photo is beautiful. I’m an early riser, and love that quiet time of day. Your photo also speaks to my interest in astronomy, and God’s amazing creation.

I think #3 & #4 are believable. #1 is odd, but some people are, too. I think you made up #2. Since when does getting released once from jail in a day preclude you from being jailed again the same day?

Tim, I like your reasoning, and that may be the answer, but did I say these blotter reports were within a 50-mile radius of me where people have a different mindset? Including jailers. We’ll see…

And I’ve been interested in astronomy since my merchant-seaman dad took my sister and me out at night to show how he navigated by the stars. I love the night sky. Last night was one of the most beautiful moons I’ve ever seen. It was a golden sliver! And my phone wouldn’t capture it!

#1 mentions acquaintances, but it doesn’t state that they are acquaintances of the owner of the house–maybe just of each other. They could be animals that know each other and are tearing out the pipes just from digging around down there. I think that’s the one you made up.

I’m going with #4 this week. Those are cars from my past and a middle aged guy could be having a mid life crisis, hence drag racing from their youth! I think that’s your reasoning.

If I am leaving early on a trip, I love that time of day; but I don’t love it enough to get up for it every morning. 🙂 The picture and verse go together so well. Good job!

I’m choosing #1. I can’t imagine someone going two months before reporting that someone was underneath the house tearing out pipes. If someone or something goes under my house and tears out pipes once, I’m going to deal with it then. I’m not waiting two months.

Your logic, as always Edward, is great. Now, we’ll see how it works with people from my area of the country. 😉 Thanks for the compliment on the photo! I love getting up early, although I don’t do it as often as I used to. But, never fear! I get my hour back in 13 days!

I’m choosing #2 this week as the one you made up.

I’m not an early riser, I like to sleep in until at least 9am. So anytime before that is too early for me, lol! But I’m loving the pictures with scripture you are sharing with us. 🙂
