Mystery Question--Really Dumb Criminals Ps18:19

Mystery Question–Really Dumb Criminals was a fun post to research. It’s hard to believe how dumb some criminals can be. I actually found these in a local paper. But before I go to the mystery questions, I want to tell you about the photo. It’s of the moon, not the sun. As usual, I took it on my afternoon walk, actually my very late afternoon walk. I couldn’t believe my phone captured the photo since there wasn’t much light.

Now for last week’s Mystery Question~More Dumb Responses. As usual, three are true and I made up one. Can you guess which one?
  1. “I was not driving that get-a-way car. The one I was driving when we robbed that store was a Mustang.”
  2. “He couldn’t have recognized me. I was wearing a mask.”
  3. “I forgot I was holding a gun when I yelled at those two teenagers.”
  4. “But officer, I’m not that drunk, and anyway, I had one eye closed so I wouldn’t see double.”

And the answer is…#3. Congrats to everyone who guessed correctly!

Now for this week’s Mystery Question–Really Dumb Criminals. As always, three are true, one is made up. Can you guess which one?
  1. A 19-year-old who robbed a bank and stole a Pontiac posted a YouTube video detailing her crime.
  2. Right after a man was processed at the police station for drinking beer inside a grocery store, he decided to steal an ambulance to get home. An ambulance sitting right outside the police department. The police met him at his house and arrested him again.
  3. A man in a wheelchair was caught setting trash cans on fire. When police asked him about it, he said he lit them because he was cold. That might would have worked, except it was 115° outside.
  4. The hapless burglar posted selfies dressed in a Louis Vuitton outfit taken in a burglary, figuring the owner would never see the Facebook page. And she probably wouldn’t have, except the post of the man in a Louis Vuitton dress went viral.

Okay, Super Sleuths, which one did I make up? Leave your answer in the comments and I’ll enter you in a December 15th drawing for a $10 gift card to either Amazon or B&N Nook!

The winner of the Thanksgiving Day drawing is Linda Horin!

And the winner of the November drawing for a book from my library is…Kay DiBianca!

Mystery Sleuths, I have 4 questions, 3 true, 1 false. Can you tell which one is false? Leave your answer and I'll enter you in a December 15 drawing for a $10 gift card! Share on X

Oh, the wonders of the dumb criminal mind. They do entertain! And, they never seem to learn. They’re all crazy, but I’m sticking with #4 today.

Pat, I never would have thought that was a picture of the moon. Great shot! And the Scripture verse is a comfort. Amazing that God delights in His sinful children. I’m so glad He does. Rescued!

It was dusky-dark, Tim and I didn’t think it would turn out, but it did. Did you see the Beaver Moon last night? I’ll have a photo of it next week that a friend took. And you’re right–these criminals are certainly entertaining. lol Thanks for dropping by.

Great shot! My wife and I drove two hours east of our home today to meet a friend for lunch and visit a short while. We were driving west to get back home as the sun was setting. As the sun was dropping behind the tops of the trees and hills, it cast a gorgeous bright pink across the underside of the gray clouds. Near the horizon, it was a brilliant pink. Of course, as it usually happens when I see those sunsets, I was driving with nowhere to pull off to take pictures. I would have loved to share a picture with you and your other readers.

I am choosing #2 as being made up. If the police knew he stole the ambulance, why would they wait for him at home rather than stopping him on the way there?

#2 (I would like to think all four were false, but, that’s not how this post works!) Beautiful photo–THANKS for sharing!
