Patricia Bradley Mystery Question 45 Comments

More questions to answer; Psalm 143:8

More Questions to Answer is this week’s Mystery Question as I race to meet my February 1 deadline!  Oh, and Happy Tuesday after Thanksgiving! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Holidays are always bittersweet for me since I’ve lost several people I love, and most of my family that is left can’t be here. But I shared a Thanksgiving meal with three really good friends.

Before we get to last week’s answers, the photo and verse!  The photo is courtesy of Delores Topliff. She was kind enough to snap this Saturday morning and share instead of texting me to do it (in case I was still asleep which I was. lol) I love that Scripture verse and thought it fit well with Delores’ photo.

Great photo, Delores! I love the way the verse matches it.

One of these lyrics had me second guessing. My choices are DBDC.

Speaking of Christmas songs, the other day, out of the blue, I thought of this one form Walt Kelly’s comic strip character Pogo:

Deck us all with Boston Charlie,
    Walla Walla Wash., an’ Kalamazoo!
    Nora’s freezin’ on the trolley,
    Swaller dollar cauliflower alleygaroo!

But wait, there’s more. If you can stand it, it’s sung in all it’s glory here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SL0lPcNwRqQ

    Sorry folks. I miss Pogo.

Well, I finally got here. I’ve been battling a cold and chest congestion, so have been laying around all day, hoping between the rest and meds that I would get to feeling better. I think it has helped. I love that picture and verse. Delores did a great job with the picture. Something about the way you worded that makes me think she must be a neighbor of yours.

I have chosen D, B, D, C. Now if you choose a different type of songs another week, I may not feel so comfortable. Something about Christmas songs being played on every station during the season causes them to stick in your head better.

I hate you’re under the weather, Edward! Praying you’ll be better soon. And yes, Delores is a neighbor. We met at a writing retreat twelve years ago and she ended up here in our little town in NE Mississippi.

We’ll see next week if you got the correct answers. 🙂

What a beautiful picture. Thank you to Delores for sharing it. The verse fits it well.

I understand about bittersweet holidays. This was my family’s first thanksgiving without my mom. She passed away in January. We know she’s with Jesus now. We were blessed my dad was given another year of life. He went through treatments for lymphoma. He was given 30% to live and put on hospice. Praise the lord for the miracle of his healing!

    I’m enjoying these quizzes. They are a lot of fun. I’m choosing D, B, D, C.

Bittersweet is the right word for missing those we’ve lost and who are in heaven, Erika. I’m so thankful for your dad’s healing!
So glad you’re enjoying these quizzes! We’ll see next week if your answers are correct.
