Trees are finally turning here in Corinth! This is near my church and one of the prettiest Maple trees in town.
I hope you all enjoyed my little exercise last week. When I watched the explanation of the video, I could not believe that I missed, not only the gorilla but the player leaving and the curtain changing colors. I knew I wasn’t very observant, but REALLY! And now I know why my sister and I have different memories of the same event – we were focused on different things. 🙂
Now for a new Mystery Question…
A thief had trouble breaking into a restaurant. He forced his way into the warming vestibule but then was stymied by the second door. Which one of the four statements below did I make up?
- The surveillance video shows him looking through the glass door to see if the building is empty before trying to get the second door unlocked.
- He brought a tool to dismantle the lock, but that didn’t gain him entry.
- He spent several minutes pulling on the door, but couldn’t get it open. Somehow he missed the sign that said push.
- The warm vestibule caused him to become drowsy as he worked on the lock, and he fell asleep only to be awakened by the owners arriving to get the restaurant open for the breakfast crowd.
Okay, Super Sleuths, which answer did I make up? Leave your answer in the comments and I’ll enter you in a drawing for a signed copy of Justice Betrayed that you can keep or give away as a Christmas gift. 🙂 And be sure to watch my FB page during Love Your Bookstore Week – November 10-16th! I’ll be giving away a few copies of the book that week! https://www.facebook.com/patriciabradleyauthor/
And according to Random dot org, the winner of October’s drawing is…Mary Hart!

#1. When my son was younger and worked at a movie theater, a patron complained that he couldn’t get into the IMAX theater and was ready to break it down. It turned out that he was trying to open it incorrectly –similar to #3. #4 is stupid (aren’t they all) but may be why you heard about it.

Hi Judy! I see a trend…thanks for stopping by.
You have a good spread here. I think you made up #4 but they’re all adequately ludicrous. Can’t wait to hear.

I’m going to say you made up #2, because I really want #3 to be true! LOL!
Author
Lol Regina! We’ll see next week. But to imagine three of these are true makes me worry about our crooks. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by.
I think #2 is made up. That sounds like an ill-equipped crook rather a dumb crook.
Author
Right on, Edward! Can you believe that three of these are true??? Thanks for stopping by.
#2 is the made up post

We’ll see, Sheila. Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting!
I would say # 3. True story : A would be criminal broke into a home. He was hungry so he cooked a pizza he found in the fridge and had more than a few beers to drink. The owners found him passed out on their bed. Needless, to say he woke up in jail.

And if I put that in a book, Janet, my editors would make me take it out. lol. We’ll see if it’s #3 next week. Thanks for commenting!

Such a lovely pic and beautiful colors! Hard to believe that 3 of these statements are actually true!! So sad. I am going to guess #2 as the one you made up.
Author
Yes, it is sad, Diane. We’ll see if it’s #2 next week! Thanks for stopping by.
It’s a toss up between 2 and 3 this week. Though I’ve done the push when you’re suppose to pull thing (and vise versa) many times over! You’d think I’d learn, right? LOL!
I sure miss the big maple trees changing colors! I live on the Oregon coast so I don’t get to see all the leaves change into their fall coats. And I certainly don’t miss raking them…lol!
Thanks for the fun mystery questions each week Patricia! It’s always fun guessing the right or wrong answer 🙂
Author
I’m glad you enjoy my fun questions, Trixi! Our colors don’t last long, but I’m glad we have them while we do. It’s supposed to be freezing the next couple of nights…did someone forget to tell Mother Nature this is the South??? Thanks for stopping by.
No idea, so I am just guessing #4
Author
Glad they all sound crazy, Nancy! Thanks for stopping by.
I’ll choose three.
