James Bell's Romeo Rules; Psalms 59:16

James Bell’s Romeo’s Rules is this week’s Reader Friday. I don’t have time to review it, but trust me, it’s a great read. And it’s Free on Amazon!

I will take the time to tell you about the rose. This is my Elisa Rose, and I had no idea when I bought it that it was lavender, her favorite color. And this Scripture verse so fits what I need this morning. 🙂

Now for Romeo’s Rules. Here’s the cover and back copy:

James Bell's Romeo's RulesIf you want to stay alive, you better know the rules . . .

“Fear nothing,” I said.

“You have any more?”

“Do unto them before they do unto you.”

“Really?”

”And you don’t owe the truth to people who lie.”

“I’ve never met anybody like you.”

“I’ve heard that before.”

Mike Romeo is an ex-cage fighter living off the grid in L.A. Running from a dark guilt that dogs him, he’s finally found a place where he can rest and even heal.

Then a church blows up. And with it all of Romeo’s hopes to be left alone. When he stops to help an injured woman whose kids are missing, someone decides to put a target on his back.

But whoever wants him dead picked the wrong guy. Because Romeo has rules––and he’s going to make them stick.

You can only get it on Amazon Kindle.

Great scripture and beautiful rose. I love old fashioned fragrant roses. It sounds like God led you to just the right one. Best wishes to get your work done easily.

That’s a gorgeous rose that goes well with the scripture verse. I like antique roses fir the fragrance and have to wonder if yours is an antique?

Thank you, Perrianne! The fragrance isn’t real strong, so I’m not sure if it’s an antique or not. A friend gave me a cutting from her grandmother’s rose bush and it is an old-timey bush. 🙂

Beautiful photo and scripture. A lavender rose!

I’ve read all of JSB’s Romeo books, and I highly recommend them. James Scott Bell has created a unique and fascinating character in Mike Romeo. He’s someone you root for in all the books.

God sometimes gives us strength in the tenderest of things. Just like with your rose, Pat. Thanks for sharing. And I’m praying you will continue to be inspired in your writing, and finish with ease.

I’ve got to get more of James Bell’s books.

“Today was going to be a breeze–a thirty degrees below zero in the frozen tundra of Siberia breeze.” is the first line from “Driving Force” An Elite Guardians Novel by Lynette Eason with Kate Angelo. I may be wrong, but I think this co-authored book may be a little like the later Tom Clancy books where Clancy did the outline, and the other author did the actual writing. Regardless, it is a first class thriller.

Whoa, that was interesting. I submitted my reply above as usual, and got an error that it was NOT ACCEPTABLE. I made a guess that perhaps the service didn’t like that I was coming through my SurfShark VPN. I disconnected the VPN, and this time it worked. I’ve seen similar issues between some services and a VPN. I’ve been using this VPN for a few years now, and this is a first here. Just FYI.

Wow! Beautiful flower! That’s a great verse of Scripture.

I don’t think I shared this one last week from Mrs. Witherspoon Goes to War by Mary Davis:
Seventeen-year-old Margaret Deny opened an old cookie tin and handed over a bulk of her savings from working various jobs the past three years.

The book is part of her Heroines of WWII series. Quite an interesting story.

The rose is beautiful! That is such a comforting verse. I’m reading through Psalms right now. I picked up the free book the other day. It sounds really good. I’m reading Shadows of Swanford Abbey by Julie Klassen. Miss Rebecca Lane quaked at the thought of returning to Swanford after more than a year’s absence, even though her heart had never really left. Hope all goes well with your deadline, and you get some rest.
