Ocala Sunset Ps 113:3

Back to Crazy Crimes 3~ Mystery Question

Patricia Bradley Mystery Question 48 Comments

Back to Crazy Crimes 3 is this week’s Mystery Question. I may have enough material here to last a year! 🙂 But first the photo and verse.

I took the photo from the back of a golf cart in Ocala, Florida. Earlier in the day, I’d captured beautiful clouds that I’ll use another day, but this one just demanded I use it first. 😉 Florida has some of the most beautiful clouds ever! The verse is one I’ve used before, but it just seemed to fit.

Now for this week’s Mystery Question, More Crazy Crimes 2. As usual, three are true, and I made up one. Can you guess which one?
  1. It took police and firefighters thirty minutes to push a burglar back through the narrow window he tried to escape through after a homeowner returned home unexpectedly.
  2. An aspiring bank robber wearing sunglasses and socks over his shoes fled the bank after the teller refused to hand over the cash he demanded. He was quickly nabbed. Did he think no one would notice his disguise?
  3. A would-be robber brandished a cucumber at a loan office and demanded money, only to be tackled by an off-duty officer.
  4. Closed-circuit TV showed a would-be hotel burglar wearing a bag over his head as he exited a room with the goods. He entered another room and took off the bag. Then stepped back into the hallway, where the closed-circuit camera got a perfect shot of his face.

And the answer is…#4. Congrats to all who guessed correctly!

Now for this week’s Mystery Question, More Crazy Crimes 3. As usual, three are true, and I made up one. Can you guess which one?
  1. Automated License Plate Recognition noted a stolen car had been hijacked, and undercover cops set up a stakeout in the area, hoping to catch the thief. Imagine the thief’s surprise when he tried to hijack the undercover cop car with two officers in it.
  2. This smart criminal tried to rob someone with his mouth and nose covered with a handkerchief…evidently, he forgot to cover the snake tattooed on his forehead.
  3. This hapless burglar left his cell phone and a traffic ticket at the house he broke into.
  4.  Just before the alleged theft, a thief was shopping and handed the clerk at the store his business card with all his personal information. Shortly afterwards, a camera caught him shoplifting.

Okay Super Sleuths, which one did I make up? Leave your answers in the comments, and I’ll enter you in a drawing for a book from my library.

Here’s this week’s song. It’s one of my favorite Vince Gill songs.

Oh wow! That magnificent burst of orange! This is an awesome photo, Pat. That Scripture says it all and over rides the things I see. I saw a devil with horns. So sorry 🙁 I did see a teddy bear on the shoulder and a grizzly bear. I also saw a chicken, a pigs head, a ghost shape, an umbrella in the sky and an eagle. But most of all I saw the glory of the Lord and His handiwork.
    Going with #2

I saw a pony escaping the cloud, Barbara. 🙂 Bud took the photo when I couldn’t get the right angle because one of the dogs was practically sitting in my lap on the golf cart. We’ll see next week if it’s #2.

The sun is always rising somewhere on Earth, and it’s always setting somewhere. Praise God everyone everywhere!

I’m guessing #4 this week because giving your business card before you shoplift?! Surely no one does that!

Wow! Beautiful photo! I love the verse! I also love this song by Vince Gill.

Sorry Barbara, I tried to find the items you listed and was unable to find any. I do, however, see the glory of the Lord and His handiwork! Isn’t He an awesome painter!

Absolutely, Mary G! He is the Master Creator and when I get stuck on a book, I ask Him to guide me out of the mire because He already knows how it should end. 🙂 We’ll see if it’s #3 next week.

Oh Mary G! None of them! Look at the top middle of the photo. That’s the devil headshot with horns( although Tthe devil does come dressed as an Angel of light) this is the cartoon version with the horns. Then shortly below that on the right, is the teddy bear sitting on a shoulder. The pigs head is on the upper right just below the teddy bear. Or that could be the grizzly bear. The chicken is in the top left corner. Maybe it’s a rooster and not a chicken. lol the umbrella is open like a Mary Poppins umbrella upper right in the grey clouds. The eagle is below the grizzly bear.
      Pat, where’s your pony?
And yes, Mary, the glory of God’s handiwork. Best picture of all!

Barbara, I admire your vision! With your help, lol, I did find the devil, the teddy bear and the umbrella, but it was hard for me. Lol! Thanks for your help!

    3. Barbara Diggs

Oh yeah, Mary G. My vivid imagination with clouds certainly gets me spinning at time. I love, love, love looking for pictures in clouds. I’m thrilled you found some! Yay you!

Incredible photo, Pat. Perfect verse to go with it, too.

What a bunch of crazy crime stories!
#1. I can see this one happening.
#2. Now, who would notice a snake tattoo?
#3. Wonder why he was carrying around the traffic ticket?
#4. Good thing there are dumb criminals.
These people must all be nuts. I’m going to take a stab and say you made up #2.

Wow! What a gorgeous picture of the clouds! Whether sunrise or sunset, God makes it all. Excellent verse.

They all sound like stupid, careless blunders that unthinking criminals would make. I am guessing #1. I question a criminal trying to hijack a car with two adults in it. As for #3, I imagine the guy had the ticket with his cell phone to remind him to call his lawyer about the ticket after he stole enough to pay the lawyer.
