A Note To My Friends and Blog Readers

A Note To My Friends and Blog Readers to let you know I’ll be stepping away from writing blog posts for a couple of weeks (hopefully). I think I mentioned last week my friend fell coming into my house and shattered his hip socket. If I didn’t, I am now.

Of course it would happen on a Friday, so we spent the weekend and Monday and Tuesday in the hospital waiting to see about surgery. He opted against the long surgery and came home to my house on hospice because it’s easier to manage pain.

I’m hoping this will be a short break and I’ll be back posting in a couple of weeks, but right now I don’t have the energy or mind, much less any time, to do the blogs. I want to thank you in advance for understanding.

Before I go though, I’ll give last week’s Mystery Question answer!

Crazy State Laws #46. Three true laws and one made-up one. Can you guess which one?
  1. Did you know you can’t drive a pig down Main Street in this state?
  2. Goatees are illegal unless you first pay a special license fee for the privilege of wearing one in public.
  3. It is illegal to buy, sell, or possess a squirt gun in a town in this state, and silly string is illegal in the city limits.
  4. Here, defacing a milk carton is punishable by a $10 fine.

And the answer is…#1

Congrats to all who guessed correctly!

I hope to be back with a Mystery Question and book review for Reader Friday soon!

P.S. Payers are greatly appreciated. And here are a few memes

I may be a little late on answering your comments, but I will eventually…until then…

“‘“The Lord bless you
    and keep you;
25 the Lord make his face shine on you
    and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord turn his face toward you
    and give you peace.”’ Numbers 6:24-26

    I understand completely. When life throws us a curve ball, all you can do is roll with the punches and pray a lot. Please know that I am praying for you and your friend.

    My husband recently spent 5 days in the hospital with a horrific infection in a surgical wound so I know exactly how discombobulating having a loved one in ill health can be. Praying for God’s peace, a miracle of quick healing, minimal discomfort, and certain knowledge that He walks through this season with both of you.

    Dear Pat, Praying several times each day for both of you. Praying for strength, rest, relief from pain and God’s presence as you both go through this. May our beloved Lord’s presence continue to be your rock, your fortress, your stronghold. I pray He will also comfort your heart.
    Take the time you need. Thank you for sending us the memes. They’ll bless each of us. They do me. God’s grace and peace.

    I wanted to reply to everyone individually, but simply haven’t had the time or energy to open the computer. 😐 I appreciate each and every one of you. Thank you for the prayers and concern!
