This was the Verse of the Day in my newspaper today, and I thought I’d share it with you. It’s amazing how many encouraging Scripture verses I run across each day!

    Yes, Boaz had his gleaners leave “handfulls on purpose” for Ruth so she had enough to carry home and have extra. I’m sure you are gleaning on every side.

    Thanks for sharing that verse, Pat. I see two lessons in it. I’m sure there are more. When we call out to God we are often feeling stuck, and can barely breath. He gives us breathing room, and eases our pain. But, too often we cry out to God only when we are hard pressed. We should learn from the Psalm that walking always with God is the best way to go through life.

      It seems He always puts in our path what we either need to read, or what we need to hear to comfort us. He reminds us we’re never alone!

    During a particular difficult time in my life, I listened to Dr. Charles Stanley’s radio program. Each day his message was exactly what I needed to hear. That was not an accident, and I thanked God. I am glad that He is giving you what you need. Prayers for you.

    I love Psalm 118. Here’s that verse in the English Standard Version:
    “Out of my distress I called on the Lord;
    the Lord answered me and set me free.”

    Continuing to pray for you and your friend, Patricia.

    You are blessed to have scripture verses in your newspaper. Very rare these days unfortunately. I saw a billboard once that said: “If God had an editorial in today’s newspaper would you read it?”
    Then it stated that’s what is in the Bible, do you read it?

    11 But as for me, I shall walk in my integrity;
    redeem me, and be gracious to me.
    12 My foot stands on level ground;
    in the great assembly I will bless the Lord.
    Psalm 26
