Christmas Tree Wars by Delores Topliff is an uplifting, sweet book that I needed. I really enjoyed meeting the characters in this Swede vs Norwegian take on Romeo and Juliet. The story, set in the mid-1960s is a historical. Can you believe that’s …
Perfectly Crazy Cons–Mystery Question
Perfectly Crazy Cons is this week’s Mystery Question subject. It never ceases to amaze me what people will try to pull over on others and what others will believe. But first the photo and scripture. When I took this photo which was taken at the same time as last week’s photo, I thought of God’s paintbrush and immediately Ecclesiastes 3:11 …
Christmas Cookies Mysteries–Reader Friday
Christmas Cookies Mysteries is up for pre-order! I’m not certain if I’ve told anyone yet, BUT I’m honored to be one of the fourteen authors (including one of the Oak Ridge Boys) in an anthology with mysteries based on the titles from the Oak Ridge Boys Christmas Cookies album. But first the scripture and photo. I love that verse in …
Really Weird Blotter Reports
Really Weird Blotter Reports is this week’s Mystery Question, and I’m still shaking my head at some of them. Not sure I can come up with one that’s as ridiculous as some of these… But first the scripture and photo. Late one afternoon last week, I happened to look out my front door and the house across the street was …
Jerusha Agen’s Rising Danger–What I’m Reading
Jerusha Agen’s Rising Danger kept me up a couple of nights this week until past midnight! This fast-paced story will keep you turning the pages until The End! But first the photo and scripture. The past few months this verse has kept me going. It is such a comfort to know we belong to Him, that He has called us by name. …
For My Writer Friends
For My Writer Friends: I don’t know about you, but I get a little excited when a new writing guide comes along. Today I get to spill the news that The Conflict Thesaurus: A Writer’s Guide to Obstacles, Adversaries, and Inner Struggles (Vol. 1) has hit the shelves. This guide is about that killer ingredient our stories need: Conflict. It …
Crazy 911 Calls Again–Mystery Question
Crazy 911 Calls is this week’s Mystery Question…and I have a hard time believing that three of these are true! But first this week’s photo and scripture verse. I love rainbows and God’s promise he made through the rainbow. And I love Psalm 46. I thought verses 1 and 2 fit the photo, but verse 10 is one of my …
More Bogus Breakups–Mystery Question
More Bogus Breakups is this week’s Mystery Question because I had a lot of fun with the last one. 🙂 Only this time it’s the girls who are doing the dumping. But first the photo and scripture. By now, I’m sure you know I love sunrises and sunsets. This sunset was taken at Arkabutla Lake near Coldwater, Mississippi. The Coldwater …
One More Week
I know I planned to return to the blog this week, but I’m just not able to focus on anything long enough to write a Mystery Question blog. Thank you so much for praying for me and sending those wonderful messages. Hopefully, I will return next week.
Taking a Week’s Break
Hi everyone. Sorry to not have the Mystery Question this week, but as many of you know, I’ve been dealing with my daughter’s health problems the last four weeks, and last week flew to West Palm Beach, Florida to put her in hospice. She passed into Jesus’ waiting arms Saturday afternoon with her family around her. We will be scattering …
